Colorless, odorless and non-toxic gas. It is highly explosive and inflammable. Reacts vigorously with oxidizing agents. It is very light gas, diffuses quickly into the atmosphere.

USES:
Used for saturation of fatty acids, hydrogenation of oil and a carrier gas for instrument.
SAFE HANDLING:
Hydrogen is highly inflammable and explosive. Keep away from flame, cigarette ends, spark from static or live discharges, metal impacts, welding or cutting, spark. Take sufficient precaution before carrying any HOT JOBS.
STORAGE:
The cylinders should be stored in cool, covered and well ventilated shed, away from source of heat and unprotected flame. Follow static & mobile pressure vessels (unfired) Rules 1981.
PRESERVATION: Avoid exposure to heat and sun.
